It is difficult to imagine that something like a teapot can be re-discovered, re-designed.
It's been around for centuries and one might think that all nuances of tea-making have been explored. Tea is a matter of taste, a highly subjective commodity that becomes art when perfected according to individual preferences.
In my design, I wish to address the classic prototype of the traditional teapot by shifting the focus to the ceremony behind tea-making: bringing friends and family together, appreciating both tea and company. I would like it to be a centre piece of tea-drinking in the household, choosing the target user according to the relationship shared, rather than restricting it to a particular age group. The user of this teapot should be a friend with an open mind.
